Jack has spent nearly a decade working with shipping containers, but the roots of the business go back further than that.

He grew up on a farm, entered the construction industry in 2014, and started working with containers in 2016. Along the way, he saw an opportunity to build a container company that felt more personal, more accountable, and a lot closer to home.

Central Virginia Containers was built around a simple idea: take good care of the people around us while building something meaningful for our own family.

We're building a business our two boys can be proud of — one that gives our family the opportunity to work hard together, build something lasting, and create more time and resources to give back to the community we call home.

That shows up in the little things: answering the phone, knowing the containers we sell, helping someone think through an unusual delivery site, taking the time to understand a project, and being here when a customer has a question after the sale.

We're not trying to be the biggest container company in the country. We're trying to be the kind of company you'd feel good recommending to a neighbor.

The people behind Central Virginia Containers

Small team. A lot of moving parts.

From the first conversation to the final delivery, there are real people behind every order.

Jack

Owner / Operator

Jack grew up on a farm, so working with equipment, figuring things out with his hands, and helping people solve practical problems has always felt pretty natural to him.

He came into the construction world in 2014 and started working with shipping containers in 2016. Over time that turned into something he genuinely enjoyed — not just the equipment or the deliveries, but the conversations with customers and the challenge of helping someone figure out what will actually work on their property.

If you call Central Virginia Containers with an unusual site, a modification idea, or you're just not sure what size container makes sense, there's a good chance Jack will be the one helping you think it through.

Outside of work, he's a dad to two boys and is happiest spending time with family, camping, smoking meat, and serving through his local church.

Alex

Co-Owner / Marketing

Alex has been part of Central Virginia Containers from the beginning, helping shape where the business is going and how it grows.

She's often the person helping turn an idea into something real — whether that means improving the customer experience, building better systems, strengthening the brand, or finding new ways for the company to grow without losing the local feel that matters to the business.

Outside of Central Virginia Containers, Alex works full-time in healthcare and brings experience from pharmaceutical leadership and scaling small startups. She has also been recognized as one of Virginia's Top 40 Under 40.

Tara

Operations Coordinator

Tara is one of the people who helps make Central Virginia Containers feel organized, responsive and easy to work with.

She's often the person customers hear from when a quote is coming together, a delivery is being confirmed, paperwork needs to be handled, or a question pops up along the way. She has a real knack for keeping the details moving while making sure customers feel informed and taken care of.

After more than two years with Central Virginia Containers, Tara has become a big part of the day-to-day customer experience — friendly, thoughtful, and always looking for a better way to make the process easier.

Jeff & Mike

Jeff and Mike make sure the last step feels as smooth as the first — getting containers where they need to go safely, carefully, and with attention to the property and the placement. Every site is a little different, and that kind of care matters when you're bringing a large piece of equipment onto someone's property.

Local & community

Proud to serve the people who serve our community.

Central Virginia Containers was built to create more than a livelihood. We want the business to give our family the time and resources to invest back into the people and organizations around us — from serving through our local church and community to supporting the military, veterans, first responders, linemen, and others who spend their lives serving their neighbors.

Military, veterans, first responders and linemen get $100 off each container. Mention it when you call or text.
